Sure, Dark Moon isn't scary visually, but the ost is truly unnerving, and you cant convince me otherwise.

This has to be one of my favorite levels/themes in the game. This infiltration theme really gives the sense of how King Boo and the ghosts aren't messing around anymore, and if you don't hurry and wrangle them up before time runs out, you're gonna be l, to quote Brental Floss's LM DM song, "in deep deep doo doo!".

Even if this level is stressful, it's my favorite level in the game. It was so satisfying when you suck up all the ghosts at once.

Man, Luigi's Mansion 2 had such epic boss battles for a 3DS game!

They really know how to make top tier bangers for really stressful situations. This and Fly Octo Fly ~ Ebb & Flow are so good

Definitely the most anxiety inducing song in Luigi’s mansion 2, I genuinely panicked and died to the gobber in the jungle exhibit and had to get a ton of money for the super poltergust and find gold bones to lower my chances of game over

If too many rooms are red, or the paranormal activity meter in the mansion gets too high, you'll have 3 minutes to stabilize them, or the dimension will collapse on itself! Act fast, and use those portals to get around quicker!

Anyone else get super stressed in this level? When I first got this game I was actually super worried about the dimension collapsing in on its self.

Hot take: I liked this world's boss. One of my favorites in the series. It is unique and you don't just flash it and suck it up.

This quickly became the most memorable boss in the entire game for me, pretty much solely because the theme is so good.

Fun fact: Right at the start of the map you can interact with a telescope. The telescope shows the largest tower and when you look long enough you will eventually see the Overset Possessor. And he will have a different animation in every level.

Luigi’s mansion scarescraper stereotypes, based off of what I notice: Green Luigi: usually the nicest person, the most inexperienced, or a complete tryhard. Blue Luigi: complete dick. Always stealing keys and not opening locked doors, purposely stealing ghosts you were going to catch. Not pressing continue on the floor results, just a pain overall. Orange Luigi: The quiet one. New to the game, but dies the most. Always seems to capture The Brain and most of the boss ghosts. Usually spams emotes. Pink Luigi: leaves the game on the first floor for literally no reason.

IDK how, but I beat this guy in under 4 minutes in the remake.

Just did this fight thrice to get the 3*. For it being a lot more forgiving than I remember it being for 3* ranks, it seems like Area 4 onwards they’re less forgiving on that. You basically have to do a perfect run of this boss if you want a 3*. That means no damage, not letting the Possessor charge a second time per round, and not letting the Possessor regenerate the ice barriers at all. That said, didn’t game over at all unlike the 3DS version. I attribute that to remembering that the best way to fight this boss is to get rid of the middle pieces first and then start reading the outside pieces like it’s a clock, waiting for the last pieces to pass a certain “hour” before firing and then adjusting by one “hour” back if I’m too early or after a successful hit and the remaining pieces rotate faster, firing along the ground the whole time other than the middle piece(s) so I don’t worry about bounce shots.

I absolutrly love this level. The music just ughh is soo catchy and the stair room is probably the most shocking/large thing in the game. I also love Blue fire personally, (you can thank Azula for that) but this game made it clear to NEVER trust it, and when i got to this room knowing it i just actually froze in awe of how much stairs there were with this much blue fire. It makes sense why LM3 has an elevator.... this game clesrly traumatized him from going up stairs... And when i got to the top with the boss staircase disguised with blue fire, i didnt trust it one bit....This game impressed me so much on how it was able to antagonize stairs lmao--

Just finished this area in the re-release and this was the only area in Dark Moon that I fully built in Minecraft. Sadly, that file got corrupted, so I think I'm going to build it again.
